What are the Required Documents for Nepal Tourist Visa Application?
Nepal Tourist Visa Requirements - Passport, Application Form, Photo
⒈. Original Passport or Travel Document: Your passport or travel document should have a minimum validity of 6 months, with at least 2 blank visa pages left. Besides, make a clear and complete copy of the passport ID page.
⒉. Nepal Visa Application Form: Download a visa application form from Nepal Embassy in your country first, and then fill it completely, correctly, signed and truthfully with accurate personal information.
⒊. Photo: One passport-size (2 x 2 inches) recently-take photo with light background must be prepared and pasted one the application form. Two photos are needed for applying for Nepal Visa on Arrival.
⒋. Visa Fee: Take accepted form of payment (maybe cash, money order, casheri’s cheque) to pay for your visa free. Tourists benefiting from Nepal visa waiver don’t need to make the payment.

<Option 1: Submit Nepal Visa Application to Nepal Embassy in Person or by Mail
Getting Nepal Visa from embassy abroad in advance is more suitable for travelers who like to get everything done before departure. Here are a few steps to obtain your Nepal Tourist Visa.
✔ Fill in personal information (full name, gender, date of birth, passport number…) on the official website of Nepal Embassy in your country (if requires).
✔ Make an appointment online if the Embassy stipulates so.
✔ Submit above mentioned required documents to the Embassy in person during office hours or by post.
✔ Pick up or get Nepal Tourist Visa and passport back, after getting informed (by email or text) of the completion of processing. Normally, the Embassy takes about 1 to 3 working days to process and issue your Nepal Visa.
Note: Nepal Tourist Visa Application will NOT be accepted if you fail to provide personal details online, or any of the required documents.
Option 2: Get Nepal Visa on Arrival at Kathmandu Airport or Border Entry Ports
Nepal still offers quick and convenient on-arrival visa (all are tourist visas) for international tourists. This special kind of Nepal Visa is only available at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (IATA: KTM) for air travelers, and arrival ports of Kakarbhitta, Birgunj, Belhiya (Bhairahawa), Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Mahendranagar at India-Nepal border and Rasuwa at Nepal-China border (not available now) . And the former one is most popular for travelling to Nepal. During peak seasons, you may queue up a few hours to manage all steps. The Nepal Visa on Arrival Application process at Kathmandu Airport includes:
Step 1: Fill in “Arrival Card”.
Step 2: Complete Nepal Visa Application Form online ahead or use Kiosk machine at Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport upon arrival. A submission reception with barcode needs to be printed out and used within 15 days’ validity, after submission digital form online.
Step 3: Pay Nepal Tourist Visa application fee. Keep the payment receipt.
Step 4: Submit application form, payment receipt and original passport to Immigration officer. Wait for his/her processing and issuance of Nepal Visa.
Step 5: Obtain a Nepal Visa and leave the airport to start your Nepal tour.

How much does Nepal Tourist Visa cost?
Nepal Tourists Visa mainly has three different length of duration: 15 days, 30 days and 90 days multiple entries. Visa fees are charged depending on the validity, instead of nationality and where you submit application.
Nepal Tourist Visa fees are as follows:
★ 15 days multiple entry visa, 30 USD
★ 30 days multiple entry visa, 50 USD
★ 90 days multiple entry visa, 125 USD
★ 5 years multiple entry visa, 160 USD (only available for US nationals)

A Nepal Visa will be issued without any visa fees for these applicants: 1.) Non-US children below 10 years; 2.) SAARC citizens (not including Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa year; 3.) Non-residential Nepali card holders; 4.) Chinese. -
Nepal Tourist Visa Extension
A Nepal Tourist Visa is valid for six months from the date of issue and the validity counts from the date of arrival in Nepal. If you want to stay longer in Nepal, you can extend your Tourist Visa from Immigration Office in Kathmandu (not available at Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport) and Pokhara. According to your itinerary, you can choose a minimum 15 days and plus more extra days.
To get additional permitted stay in Nepal, you need to show a flight ticket proving that you are leaving the country during that time period, and pay for visa extension fee as required. Mostly the extended visa is issued within hours on the same day.
