Weather and climate in different areas of Nepal vary from both latitude and altitude. When is the Best Time to Visit Lumbini, Nepal?

In view of travel convenience and comfort, months from late September to November (dry season) is the best time to visit Lumbini, because the monsoon just ends, temperature start to cool down and there are more sunshine days with clear air and sky, high visibility. Months of March, April and May is the spring and dry season of Lumbini. Temperature in the day begins to rise to 30℃ and higher, and at night the average temperature is nearly 20~25℃. It’s one of the pleasant times to tour Lumbini, because the temperature is fairly acceptable, natural scenery is quite lovely. There is just 5 to 8 rainy days, but sun protection is always required against strong UV index. Walking in Lumbini Park, you can see many green lawns, trees, blossom of Bougainvillea glabra Choisy in both white and pink colors and egrets in the wetland, north of the temple.
